There are school activities and then there are Premier moments that bring learning to life in the most exciting ways!
This term, Premier International School hosted a thrilling Scavenger Hunt and Cook-Up Challenge, blending teamwork, creativity and culinary fun into one unforgettable day.

The event wasn’t just about food, it was about discovery, problem-solving and teamwork. In true Premier spirit, it all tied beautifully to our school year theme: “One Team, One Goal.”
The air buzzed with excitement as pupils and students gathered for the big reveal. Each team received their first clue, and the adventure was on. Learners dashed across the school field, decoding messages, collecting coded items, and uncovering hidden spices and condiments.
Every clue led them closer to their mystery recipe. There were squeals, laughter, and triumphant shouts as teams pieced together the puzzle. “It felt like being in a real treasure hunt,” one student said, “except the treasure was our ingredients!”
Primary pupils whipped up noodles, pancakes and sandwiches, turning simple ingredients into colourful, delicious plates. In the secondary category, students took things up a notch with pepper soup creations, fish, goat meat, and chicken, each uniquely seasoned and presented.
The judges, including representatives from Chef’s Academy, watched closely as teamwork unfolded. “It’s not just about taste,” one judge noted, “we’re looking at creativity, hygiene, and collaboration. That’s what real chefs do.”

The Head of School shared, “This event shows what PIS represents, helping learners turn the theoretical ideas they learn in class into practical real life solutions.”
Parents, too, were amazed at what the children achieved: “They didn’t just cook; they worked together, solved problems, and had fun doing it. That’s real-life learning!”
After hours of stirring, chopping, and laughter, the moment everyone awaited arrived: the tasting! Judges sampled each dish and commended every team for their creativity and teamwork. Winners received well-deserved awards and cheers from their peers, but as one pupil said, “We all won because we learned something new and did it together.”
The day was rounded off with a burst of creativity and entertainment from spoken word performances and keyboard displays, to art showcases and parent games. The atmosphere was filled with energy, laughter, and applause, a celebration of talent, unity, and Premier pride.

The Scavenger Hunt/Cook-Up Challenge was more than just an event; it was an experience that brought the entire PIS community together. Pupils, students, teachers, and parents all shared one goal: to learn, create and grow as one team.
